ORANGEVILLE – Headwaters Health Care Centre (HHCC) has partnered with PocketHealth to provide patients with online access to their medical imaging exams, in their original diagnostic format.
Headwaters Health Care Centre is a medium-sized acute and complex continuing care facility, offering both inpatient and outpatient services, and performs nearly 70,000 diagnostic imaging exams annually.
Starting today, HHCC patients can visit pocket.health/HHCC, enroll for online access and receive access to their diagnostic-quality imaging records within minutes.
Once patients receive access, their imaging history is stored permanently in their account for future access, alongside any other requested imaging records from PocketHealth-enabled clinics/hospitals across North America. If they wish to share with their specialist or another healthcare facility, they can share their diagnostic-quality (DICOM) imaging via email, fax, printing off a page with a secure link, or even burning their own CD directly from their account.
Meanwhile, their physicians can view the imaging shared with them using a powerful, Health Canada/FDA-certified viewer right from their web browser, without any software required.
Headwaters Health Care Centre joins over 500 other hospitals, clinics and mobile imaging sites across North America that have deployed the PocketHealth platform for their patients.
PocketHealth is a patient-centric cloud platform that enables imaging providers across North America to share imaging records electronically with patients, instantly and securely. Since its launch in 2016, the platform has grown its functionality to enable direct sharing between hospitals and physicians, as well as instant DICOM retrieval and automated importing capability, creating a unified image management solution for their over 500 hospital and imaging clinic customers across North America. The company believes that by placing patients at the center of the record release process, data moves more ethically, easily and securely throughout the care journey. Learn more at www.pocket.health.
